FIRST NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2009/10 MONASH BUSINESS AWARDS

Furnace Engineering & Ammache Architects have been announced as the first two nominees for the 2009/10 Monash Business Awards at a Lunch held at the Mulgrave Country Club on Wednesday 16 September. Approximately 170 business people were in attendance.

The guests speaker at the Lunch, Mr Terry Dillon, Acting CEO of Hawthorn Football Club, who delivered an entertaining presentation about the journey Hawthorn had been on from almost extinction in the early nineties to premiership glory last year and the steps that were taken to achieve that success.

The first business nominee announced at the lunch was established in 1968 and is located in Notting Hill. Furnace Engineering, the leading Australian owned manufacturer of furnaces & industrial ovens, has grown steadily & successfully over the last 40years and sees employee loyalty as a vital part of the company’s success. Accepting the nomination was Furnace Engineering’s Managing Director, Mr Richard Simpson.

Ammache Architects, the second nominee of the day, delivered an inspirational presentation that showed just what hard work & determination can achieve. Nominated because of their ability to create buildings of beauty, quality & functionality that are also environmentally sustainable, Ammache Architects has a reputation to be proud of. Accepting the nomination on their behalf was their Managing Director, Nidal Ammache.

The next Monash Business Awards event is a breakfast to be held on Wednesday 28 November 2009 at the Mulgrave Country Club.
