A FURTHER TWO NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2009/10 MONASH BUSINESS AWARDS

Metricon Pty Ltd & Printing Industries Association of Australia (PIAA) have been announced as the next two nominees for the 2009/10 Monash Business Awards at a Lunch held at the Mulgrave Country Club on Wednesday 21 April. Approximately 160 business people were in attendance.
The guest speaker at the Lunch, David Meiklejohn AM, President, Melbourne Cricket Club, gave an very interesting presentation on one of Australia greatest sporting icons, the MCG, and the role the MCC has in preserving and developing sport in Victoria.
The first business nominee announced at the Lunch has been in operation for over 30 years and is located in Mount Waverley. Metricon Pty Ltd is one of Australia’s leading home builders and land developers. With a reputation for quality, innovation and distinction in design, their operations span the eastern seaboard of Australia from Melbourne to far north Queensland. Accepting the nomination was Metricon’s National Display Delivery Manager, Mr Peter Temopoulos.
PIAA, the second nominee of the morning is the peak organisation for companies the print, paper, packaging and visual communication industries in Australia. As an independent, member-based organisation they represent over 2000 large, medium and small businesses within the imaging and communication sectors. Located in Mulgrave and established in 1882, they work hard to advocate and support over 2000 members with branches in all states of Australia. Accepting the nomination was the PIAA’s Business Development Officer, Bruce Lowery.
The next Monash Business Awards event is a lunch to be held on Wednesday 23 June 2010 at the Mulgrave Country Club.
