TWO NEW NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2010/11 MONASH BUSINESS AWARDS

Emerging IT & Mr Verandah Pty Ltd are the first two nominees for the 2010/11 Monash Business Awards. The announcement was made at a Lunch held at the Mulgrave Country Club on Wednesday 15 September. Approximately 130 business people were in attendance.

The guest speaker at the Lunch, Denis Masseni, Monash University Multi Media Lecturer & Director of Sponsor Ed, a web publishing and online advertising business, delivered an eye opening presentation in which he relayed the successes and the near fatal disasters of organisations embarking on a social media crusade. He also imparted upon the audience the tools and an excitement needed to embrace the new world order in communications.

The first business nominee to present at the lunch was incorporated in 2001 and is located in Notting Hill. Emerging IT is renowned for excellence in the delivery of IT services and support, their mission and ultimate goal is to help more Australian businesses reduce IT costs whilst improving their uptime. Accepting the nomination was Emerging IT’s Sales Director Mr Noel Ervine.

Mr Verandah Pty Ltd, the second nominee of the day, is located in Oakleigh and is a proud family owned and operated business that began when there as a lack of specialists verandah builders in the industry. They have grown steadily since, concentrating heavily on customer satisfaction and attention to detail. Accepting the nomination was the Mr Verandah’s Managing Director, Mr Chris Dimos.

The next Monash Business Awards event is a Business Breakfast to be held on Wednesday 17 November 2010 at the Mulgrave Country Club.
