FIRST NOMINEES FOR 2016/17 REVEALED

The first lunch for 2016/17 was packed full of nominee presentations and the keynote from Russell Pearson. Russell provided advice about how to compete in a digital world which was both entertaining and educational with most attendees taking notes and utilising the tips and tricks in their own businesses.

The introduction of categories for nominations meant that the four nominees had just two minutes to present their business. The nominees came from the Micro, Small, Franchise and Not for Profit sectors with Must Have Mustangs, Living Health, Anytime Fitness Glen Waverley and the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre giving an insight into how they each are excellent businesses.

Must Have Mustangs are a unique business providing once in a lifetime opportunities to travel in style in Mustangs. Their cars include 2 Eleanor Hardtops in the style of the GT 500 E from Gone in 60 seconds in both the Coupe and Fastback and can be hired for weddings, winery tours or a joyride around Victoria.

Living Health was started by Dr Lisa Gadd who herself suffered a stroke in 2014. As a result, Lisa developed a unique understanding to the pain and frustration that comes with pain and rehabilitation and the capability of the human body has to heal. She uses her own experience and professional skills to support her clients to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Anytime Fitness has recently opened in Glen Waverley provided 24 hour gym access. With the latest equipment and professional personal trainers you can get fit in a safe and supportive environment.

The Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC) services began in 1987 with only 12 children, and today they provide educational programs to over 110 children and their families. There are many forms of cerebral palsy and no one child is alike in ability or disability. CPEC provide physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology (individually or in multidisciplinary groups), and enable families to access essential equipment they need in their daily lives.
