A FURTHER TWO NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2008/09 MONASH BUSINESS AWARDS

The Minders Building & Garden Care & 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd have been announced as the newest nominees for the Monash Business Awards 2008/09 year at a Breakfast held at the Mulgrave Country Club on Wednesday 18 February. Approximately 200 business people attended the Breakfast.
Bernard Salt, Demographer and Partner at KPMG was the keynote speaker at the Breakfast. He gave small and medium sized businesses advice on how they can survive the economic downturn. Mr Salt also gave an update on the controversial Monash Baby Boomer study, which was commissioned to help plan for the future needs of the Baby Boomer generation in the City of Monash. With some interesting insights into the differences between the generations, Mr Salt had the audience thoroughly entertained.
The Minders Building & Garden Care, the first of the morning’s nominees, specialises in maintenance of commercial and owner’s corporation properties. Troy Goodwin, Director, gave a short presentation and accepted the nomination on their behalf.
The other nominee announced at the breakfast, 7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd, became a household name by introducing the convenience store concept to Australia in the late 70’s. Accepting the nomination on their behalf was their CEO, Warren Wilmot.
The next Monash Business Awards event is a Lunch to be held on Wednesday 22 April 2009 at the Mulgrave Country Club.
